What is the buckle made of?

The buckle is an Advanced Aluminum Buckle made from aircraft-quality aluminum. It's light, superiorly strong, and resistant to rust and chipping.

How do I adjust the fit?

The micro-adjustable buckle lets you dial in your exact fit without hunting for a hole. Slide the webbing to where it feels right and you're good to go.

Is this belt durable enough for heavy daily use?

Poor excuse for a belt

"I saw the soaring reviews from this brands belts so I thought I would give this a shot. As a big guy belt buckles always bother me, and as far as this belt is concerned yes the buckle is comfortable. However that is the only redeeming quality for this belt. I have to adjust the belt every 30min there is nothing keeping this in place, it loosens from the slightest movement or even just having a phone in your pocket is too much weight so the pants start slipping. Maybe the other belts are better than this one but if the strap configuration is the same I can't see them working any better."

I love my original Arcade

"I love my original Arcade belt, but the plastic clip is a bit worrisome if that's the only belt you're packing on a long excursion (I've never broken an Arcade clip, but I'm always worried that I might). The Alu solves that issue with its no-nonsense construction. The Alu is just as adjustable as Arcade's other models -- perhaps more so, because there are three attachment loops for the clip that can be selected during the day. I found myself selecting tighter loops as the day progressed, and then slightly tightening the main adjustment the next morning. Perhaps that implies that the main adjustment slips a wee bit during the day. The belt itself isn't as elastic as the original Arcade, but still comfortable enough for those of us whose abs are closer to "beer belly" than "six pack". Like the original, the Alu is a bit fiddly threading through pants with narrow belt loops -- I'd love to see a "slim" option for this model as well."

"This belt looked pretty cool from the photos but I did not realize how awesome it would be until I received it in the mail. I have a lot of belts and It is easily the coolest belt I’ve ever owned. The buckle is utilitarian and practical, but also stylish easy to adjust with the 3 loop mechanism. Also, the belt is stretchy, but not too stretchy and appears to be more durable than other models. I’m an adventure guy, and I like to get out in the backcountry hiking and snowboarding and this is the go to belt for me."

Built great. . . But ultimately lacks function!!

"I bought this belt for work (UPS Driver) because I am in love with Arcade belts. I have worn nothing but Arcade belts since my 1st one (not sure how long but probably over 7 years). This one appeared to be perfect for what I wanted for work. . . However. . . This belt doesn't really work!!! Materials are great, it is super well built (like all Arcade belts), and it looks fantastic. . . But the built slips and has to be tightened all day long. . . And with the job I do, that is a deal breaker. . . Looks like I may have to try another brand for my work belt and that just breaks my heart. . . But I will continue to use Arcade belts for my everyday use. . especially since I have over 10+ of them"

Will the Alu buckle set off a metal detector at airports?
The answer has gotten more nuanced as air port security has advanced over time. The safest choice for travelers would be our non metal belts linked below rather than the Hardware Alu belt. https://arcadebelts.com/collections/travel-friendly-belts However in testing the Hardware Alu belt we had mixed results with some testers not having any issues with wearing the belt through airport security while others did. It would seem to be that the people who wore a lot of jewelry had issues while testers who wore little jewelry (think belt and a watch) didn't have any issues.
