Our belt webbing is made of 85% post-consumer recycled REPREVE®️ polyester and 15% rubber. REPREVE® is the leading brand of recycled performance yarn, and gives waste a second life by repurposing post-consumer plastic bottles into high grade performance material. Our webbing has been tested extensively to ensure uncompromised performance and durability, while making far less of an impact on the environment.

What makes this belt different from a standard webbing belt?

It has a built-in RECCO reflector. RECCO technology lets rescue teams detect you in the backcountry using directional radar. It adds a real layer of safety without changing how the belt looks or feels.

How does the RECCO reflector work?

Rescue teams use RECCO-compatible detectors that send a signal to the reflector sewn into the belt. The reflector bounces that signal back, helping teams pinpoint your location faster in an emergency.

Is the buckle metal-free?

Yes. The low-profile buckle contains no metal, making it airport-friendly and comfortable against your body all day. It stays secure and sits flat at the front of the belt.

What is the belt made from?

The webbing is made from recycled REPREVE® polyester, sourced from post-consumer recycled materials. It stretches with you and holds its shape through everyday movement.

How do I care for this belt?

Machine wash cold and throw in the dryer. Avoid high heat to keep the webbing and RECCO reflector in good shape over time.

"This thing is rad. There are two RECCO reflectors on each side of the belt. I bought it for skiing to have reflectors for search and rescue to find me in the event of an avalanche. You see RECCO reflectors on jackets and pants now but #1 I'd rather have more reflectors than less #2 jackets and pants are $600+. This gives that accessibility at a reasonable price. The other summer side is that search and rescue still use RECCO for summer rescues. backpacking, hunting, boating, I'd rather be seen. O and. . . it's a the best belt on the planet."

Does it come in a size big enough for a 42”-44” waist?
Hello, Unfortunately this one currently only comes in standard length at the moment, which is meant to fit a 24-38" waist.
Will this work if I am wearing my backpack hip belt over the REECO reflectors on the belt?
Hey Collin, Great questions! RECCO does work under clothing, additional materials, etc. Depending on the thickness of the hip belt it will still work, but RECCO may have reduced effectiveness.
