What Size Belt Do You Need? Tips To Measure at Home

Posted by Account Manager on

Most of us assume that belts are one-size-fits-all. But, as experts in the field of customizable comfort, we know better. Let’s dive into the nitty-gritty of belt sizing– because trust us when we say that the right belt length and width will make a difference in your day-to-day experience.

Why Belt Sizing Matters

A well-fitting belt can be the difference between comfort and awkward adjustments all day. This is especially true during adventures on the trail, the slopes, or while traveling. When you're on the move, the last thing you want is to be distracted by a belt that's digging into your skin or one that you have to keep hoisting up. A well-fitted belt– especially a belt that stretches– becomes a seamless part of your adventure gear, allowing you to focus on the experience at hand.

So, let’s dive into the sizing options we offer at Arcade.

The Arcade Difference

Why settle for a one-size-fits-most belt when you can have a belt that's customizable to you? Our stretchy belts are designed for those who live life on the move, who need flexibility, durability, and style all rolled into one.

Youth

For those with a waist between 22 and 32 inches, we recommend our line of Youth Stretch Belts. With a Slim width, maximum comfort, and designed to grow with you, our Youth size is perfect for the young and young-at-heart.

Standard

Our Standard size elastic stretch belts go up to 40 inches. But here's the inside scoop: if you're around a 36-inch waist, you might want to consider our Long size. Why? Because the Standard size leaves no tail, and many customers report that sizing up means added comfort.

Long

For folks with a 36-inch waist or above, our Long size elastic belts have got you covered. These belts go up to 50 inches and don’t compromise on style or comfort– just add more room to breathe.

Length vs. Width

But wait, there's more to belt sizing than length. Let's talk about factoring width into your decision-making process.

Along with variation in waist and length sizing, pants vary when it comes to belt loop width as well. Some have wider loops, others narrower. So, when choosing the width of your belt’s webbing, take stock of your closet. Do the majority of your pants and shorts have narrow belt loops? If so, consider choosing a belt that features slim width webbing. Otherwise, our standard width webbing belts will do the trick.

DIY Sizing

So you've got your belt, but you want to make it even more “you” by adjusting the length of the belt yourself. No worries. Cut it, melt it, make it yours. Just remember, if you cut the belt, you'll lose our sleek end cap. Remember, your warranty is safe with us, except for the parts of the belt you tweak yourself.
